I found this brilliant website today which is dedicated to print production. It profiles jobs and gives a preview of the work, shows the quantity, cost of production, what colours and what varnishes were used as well as the method.
This kind of information is crucial to this module as it is a pretty good indicator of how much a similar job would cost me to print, so it gives me a general idea without getting a shock. It can also be used to point me in the right direction in terms of what stock to use and what print finishes work well with certain substrates.
Only problem is it is american based but you can just use a currency converter to get an idea of what the cost was, so happy days. I will be definitely checking this website out in future.
