As part of my research for the new module I have decided to look at some TV idents, both new and old to get ideas and also gain an understanding of the techniques involved in producing something like this in Adobe Aftereffects. The most effective idents I found were for BBC two. Most of which use a combination of type and video. My animation will solely feature type but I can still manipulate that type in anyway I wish.
The reason for choosing BBC 2 idents was because of the repetitive use of the number two in different situations. The movement of the two could be replicated in some of these quite easily. I picked two different idents, one that utilizes video and the other that uses 3d graphics
