Panamax

To fulfil my Panamax brief, I needed to find out more about the brand. The first thing I did was to get a copy of the content that would be for the packaging and information sheet inside. This gives me all the dosage information as well as health implications and side effects of the drug.

There are 3 Panamax products. Panamax, which is a pain relief tablet for Adults and children over 12. Panamax Elixir, which is a pain relief medicine for children from 1 months to infants and Panamax Elixir 240, which is a pain relief medicine for children from 5-12 years.

I wanted to see what the existing packaging looked like at the moment so I could get a good idea about their type choices, colour arrangements that I could possible use if they worked within my designs. It was difficult to get good images as this is product only sold in Australia, so I had to rely on the internet to get any references.

Looking here, I now know that my packaging is going to have to be different for atleast two products. I will have to design a label and outer packaging for the bottles as to confuse the user.

The packaging design is what I expected. It is accurate for the type of product but there is a lot of information to distill. I want to strip out any irrelevant information and make sure core information is clear. I can do this using my knowledge of typography from the optional module.
