I raided our medicine cupboard today to find the kind of packaging for our everyday products as well as prescription drugs. I have posted my findings below.

I picked out a range of products and one can instantly recognise the strictly commercial packaging from the prescription packaging. I don't want mine to be as stylised as some of the commercial packages here, I want my product to reflect a no nonsense simple, clean design style which is accurate and well designed. Illustrations of blue people and tablets are not to be included.












These photos show the packaging in much more detail, highlight print finishes which help the blind and information included in the packaging to give details of dosage, etc.

The benefit of having these examples is that I can take ideas for a minimal colour pallette. Using pastel blues conveys a cool, relaxed approach, yet red and yellow capture attention quickly.
