I have been thinking about the possibility of using a physical set when it comes to designing my sequence and theres no better example of this kind of animation than this piece of motion graphics by Psyop for a Converse footwear campaign. This is a music video for an N.E.R.D song and the first time I saw it I instantly loved it. It looks very simple on the surface. I like the idea of using physical objects which are then optimized for screen. This is like nothing I have ever seen before.
You can read an interview I found here about the video, and the planning and art direction involved.
